Maxwell Baumbach

Maxwell Baumbach is a manchild from Elmhurst, IL. He has authored the chapbooks “Suburban Rhythm” (Scars Publications, September 2010) and “You’re Welcome” (Alternating Current, March 2011). His first full length collection, “At Age Twenty,” is slated for a January 2012 release from unbound CONTENT. His work has appeared in The Medulla Review, Breadcrumb Scabs, Right Hand Pointing and a bunch of other places, so google it.

Intricacy

it was the intricacy
of the tree with
a hollow base
and the large branches
with smaller branches
branching out of them
and even smaller branches
branching out of those
and berries
at the end of the branches
that made me realize
the foolishness
of the one-track mind
